What the Himalayan Observatory shows

For each of Nepal's 753 local governments, 77 districts and 7 provinces: tree cover in 2000 and tree-cover loss every year from 2001 to 2025 (Hansen/UMD Global Forest Change v1.13), population in 2025 (WorldPop), monthly climate normals (CHELSA V2.1), temperature trends from the ERA5-Land reanalysis since 1950, CMIP6 scenario projections to 2050 (Open-Meteo), active-fire detections (NASA FIRMS VIIRS, daily since 2012), reported disaster incidents (BIPAD portal, Government of Nepal) and earthquakes (USGS). Boundaries are the Survey Department of Nepal's official local units.
